LAST WEEK FOCUS

From Oli:
Great to see more of your work up online, the cryengine walkway tests are looking awesome. Great you are testing these subtle design moves in this way (above/below sea level) as they change the feel of the design a lot. If progressing with the walkway idea, look at Diller and Scofidio's "Hilghline" project and the qualities of that. You'll become more familiar with these designers as you progress through University (I assume you're majoring in Spatial Design as your work is looking great!).

Now please focus on:
  • experimenting with the form of your walkway, test out some different shapes to possibly modify the existing boatshed with.
  • experimenting with how this walkway will connect/disconnect with the boatshed/s.
  • experimenting with the details of your design, the moments where materials meet, how do they meet?
  • the visualisation of your design, test a final plan, section, elevation and perspectives. Try to combine different medium, digital, hand drawn, photoshop etc.
I want to see you testing various ideas/methods for each of these points, ideally to figure out how much is too much, where is the "line" between working and not? (I want to see evidence of you crossing this line on your blog)
